The 2027 Adamawa State governorship election, takes new leap ahead as Abdurrahman Haske submits forms, and unveils development agenda for Adamawa; dismisses concerns about his age while insisting that competence and experience, not youthfulness should determine leadership.
Haske, who formally make the statement while addressing media shortly after completing the process, said he remains confident of securing the party’s ticket through due process, regardless of internal consensus or direct primary arrangements.
“Judging me by my age alone is actually not fair,” he said. “I have served this country diligently across different sectors—from oil and gas to agriculture and telecommunications. All of this is well documented in my CV.”
Haske revealed that he has fulfilled all requirements stipulated in the Electoral Act and has submitted his documents for screening ahead of the party’s primaries.
“I have done all the necessary requirements. I have submitted my documents, and we will allow the process to take shape and guide us on the next steps,” he added.
On his chances amid potential consensus considerations within the party, Haskin maintained a calm stance, expressing faith in the APC’s internal democratic mechanisms.
Addressing what he brings to the table, the aspirant outlined a vision centered on economic growth, youth empowerment, and continuity in governance.
“I am focused on creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive—where young men and women can succeed. We are building a new Adamawa State, and our priority is Adamawa first,” he stated.
Haske also pledged to build on the achievements of the current administration under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
“We will build from where His Excellency has stopped and ensure that we create a greater Adamawa together,” he said.
Having completed the process, he adds to the growing list of contenders positioning themselves ahead of what is expected to be a keenly contested governorship race in the state.
