Jamil Pledges Consolidation as He Submits Gombe Governorship Nomination Form

Gombe State governorship aspirant, Jamil Isyaku Gwamna has officially submitted his expression of interest and nomination form, pledging to sustain and build upon the current administration’s developmental strides if given the mandate.
Speaking with journalists shortly after submitting his form at treasure suite, Abuja, Jamil said his ambition to contest the 2027 governorship election is driven by a desire to consolidate on the progress already recorded in the state.
“I’m here to formally submit my nomination form to the Secretariat,” he said, confirming his intention to run for the governorship seat.
The aspirant acknowledged the contributions of past leaders in the state, noting that Gombe has been “very lucky” with its leadership over the years. He particularly commended the incumbent administration for elevating the state’s development profile.
“Currently, the governor we have has put Gombe State on a new pedestal in terms of development. We are very proud of what he has achieved,” he stated.
Jamil emphasized that his focus, if elected, would be on continuity and consolidation. “It is a big challenge to sustain that developmental stride and continue with it. I hope that, given the chance, I will build on what he has done,” he added.
On internal party dynamics, the aspirant expressed readiness to abide by the decisions of the party leadership, signaling openness to transparent internal party arrangements.
“Whatever the party decides,” he said in response to questions about his stance on the party’s selection process.
With this process been completed, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna joins the growing list of aspirants seeking to lead the state, with political activities gradually intensifying ahead of the election cycle.
