Humanitarian Affairs Minister Doro Gives Daughter’s Hand in Marriage at Jos Church Ceremony

The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, on Saturday celebrated a major family milestone as he gave out his daughter in marriage during a colourful church wedding ceremony held in Jos, Plateau State.

According to information released after the event, the wedding service and church blessing took place at ECWA Gospel Church 2, Jenta, Jos, on 25 July 2026, drawing family members, friends, well-wishers, church leaders and other dignitaries who gathered to witness the solemnisation of the union.

The information was released on behalf of the Minister’s family following the ceremony.

Dr. Doro formally presented his daughter in marriage, receiving prayers and goodwill from the congregation for the newly wedded couple.

The wedding service featured special prayers for God’s guidance, wisdom and protection over the couple as they embarked on their marital journey.

Guests also offered congratulations to the Minister and his family, describing the occasion as a joyful celebration of love, faith and family values.

Prayers were equally offered for the couple, with ministers of the gospel urging them to build their home on mutual love, commitment and Christian principles.

The ceremony concluded with a reception where family members and guests celebrated the union, wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of peace, happiness, fruitfulness and God’s abundant blessings.

 

Dignitaries at the event are the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by the national chairman of the, All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe and others
