The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Council, Engr. Sunny Oche, has pledged ₦1 million towards the completion of the ongoing renovation of the Agila Police Station, while promising that the council would also take up some critical components of the project.
Oche made the commitment while addressing the people of Agila at Akpoge Play Square during the 2026 Ujor celebration following a briefing on the progress report by the pioneer of the renovation project, Mr. Adoche Agbese Joseph (Sooner). Recall that the chairman has fulfilled a pledge of one million Naira at the early stage of the project.
Oche also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening grassroots security and supporting initiatives capable of promoting peace and development in the community.
The chairman expressed appreciation for the improved peace and security being witnessed in Agila under the reign of His Royal Highness, Otse Agila, Chief Otse Orinya Egwurube, commending the traditional institution and the people for their efforts in sustaining peace.
“I want to pledge the sum of one million naira towards the completion of the Agila Police Station renovation project. The council will also take up some critical components of the renovation because security is a collective responsibility,” Oche said.
He said a fully functional police station would provide a more conducive environment for security personnel to operate and enhance their capacity to protect lives and property, assuring the people of Agila that the council would continue to collaborate with traditional leaders, community stakeholders and security agencies to consolidate the prevailing peace in the area.
