NLC HAILS DELTA GOVERNOR FOR MOBILIZING JULIUS BERGER TO REHABILITATE FAILED AGBARHO SECTION OF EAST-WEST ROAD – Comr. Ofobruku

The Delta State Government has received commendation from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Delta State Chapter, led by Comr. Goodluck Ofobruku.
This commendation came following the declaration by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, that he has mobilized Julius Berger to urgently fix the deplorable section of Agbarho Road to alleviate the suffering of road users. The road is a Federal Government road connecting various states.
His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Delta State, made this pronouncement recently during the celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Day at the Cenotaph in Asaba, Delta State.
Admonishing citizens, the Governor noted that our diversity is what makes us united, and that Delta State is committed to building a stronger Nigeria through the MORE Agenda. He added that sustaining peace across our communities is his top priority, with inclusive governance where no one is left out, as all Deltans must have a stake in our future.
“A good society is measured by how we treat one another, especially in difficult times. Behind every tragedy, there is a family that is grieving; their pain deserves compassion. Despite our differences, we share a common destiny,” he noted.
Speaking on the goodwill of the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Comr. Goodluck Ofobruku, the State NLC Chairman, stated that the Governor is one who is prompt to action and ensures that no Nigerian suffers in his state. His administration has brought massive development to the state, and the MORE Agenda has made Delta State a safe haven for all, especially investors. He therefore admonished workers to reciprocate the kind gestures of the Governor by carrying out their duties diligently.
