Safety Progress in Anambra: CP Orutugu Appreciates Stakeholders for Boosting Security Infrastructure

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD, has commended stakeholders and community partners for their unwavering support in enhancing security structures across the state.

In a statement issued in Awka, CP Orutugu according to a press release e-signed by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga expressed gratitude for rece
nt interventions that have given a facelift to several Police formations, including the installation of solar-powered lights to improve visibility and operational efficiency.

The projects, which cover the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Awkuzu, Amichi Division, Neni Division, Umuchu Division, 33 Division, Dunkofia Division, Oraifite Division, B Division, Ihiala, Amanuke, Awka, Onitsha, and several others, were described by the CP as crucial to boosting the Command’s response capacity.

“The task of ensuring safety in Anambra requires sustained collaboration between the Police and the public,” CP Orutugu noted, adding that plans are underway for the official commissioning of the projects to further consolidate Police-Community relations.

In the spirit of the season, CP Orutugu also extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. He reassured Ndi Anambra of the Command’s determination to build on recent security gains while calling for continued cooperation, intelligence sharing, and partnership in sustaining peace across the state.
