Donald Omokpia Extols Okpebholo’s Leadership in Peaceful APC Congresses
The National Coordinator United People Support Group Hon. Donald Omokpia, has commended Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, for what he described as his exemplary leadership in the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) congresses across the state.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the successful State Congress held in Benin City, the state capital, Omokpia praised the governor for his “apt management” of the exercise, which began at the ward level and culminated in the state congress.
The congresses were conducted across the 192 wards and 18 local government areas of Edo State before culminating in the state-level gathering.
According to Omokpia, Governor Okpebholo ensured that party leaders at every level were given the freedom to determine their executive members, starting from the ward level through to the local government and state levels.
Hon. Donald Omokpia, who is a Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), described the exercise as the most peaceful congress in the history of the APC in Edo State.
He attributed the success of the process to what he termed the governor’s selfless leadership and effective management of party affairs.
The National Coordinator United People Support Group added that the outcome of the congresses will strengthen the party unity and positioned the APC in Edo State for greater electoral success in the 2027 general elections.
He called on party faithful to remain united and committed to the party’s goals, urging them to support Governor Monday Okpebholo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in advancing the Edo Rising and Renewed Hope Agenda.
