Spread the love

When we understand that God is good, we can trust He has goods in store for us. When we know Him as the sovereign Lord over our prayers, plans, and hopes, we can believe He wants our best. When we wait for God to act on our behalf, we receive the fullness of His blessings. Though you can’t hear, see or perceive God’s master plan for your life, you can trust Him today in your struggles. Surrender all your hopes and desires to Him, keep praying for as long as it takes, His presence will be an incomparable comfort if you choose to wait.

God uses our period of waiting to stretch our faith in Him and to bring about change and growth in our lives. If you can recall, each time you opt for a shortcut and try to run ahead of God, you become overwhelmed and pay dearly for it. No other god can do what God can do. No one can perceive, hear or see God’s plan until He reveals it.Only God knows what is best because no one else compares to Him.

Psalm 37: 7a, “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act”. The Israelites grew weary of waiting for God to fulfill His promises of taking them to the Promised Land. How can we be doing the will of God and still suffering starvation and all sorts of hardships all along? They queried. Number 11: 4 – 6. Yes, it is possible to experience hardships even as you do the will of God. God permits trials that He might build character into our lives.

Rom 5: 3 – 5, “We know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” May God give us the strength to preserve in our waiting rooms till He opens the door of blessings to us.James 1:3-4, waiting does grow character. No one of us is God, we are not in control, He is! We have to trust the process. Who do you think you are that God needed to inform you of what He is doing and when?

Waiting reminds us that we are not in control. There is only one God, quit applying for His position! Look beyond what you’re waiting for to the God you are waiting on. Only Him is enough for you, you are complete in Him.Psalm 31:15 says; our times are in God’s hands. He knows exactly where you are in this season of waiting. He is saying to you, “I know it’s hard, but look at me. Hope in me. I am your rock; I don’t grow tired or weary. I am at work in you.

PRAYER POINTS:

I don’t want to opt for a shortcut and try to run ahead of you oh God; give me the strength to persevere in my waiting room.

CONFESSION:

I depend on you absolutely, for you are my rock, you don’t grow weary, and I know that you are at work in me.
