Spread the love

Apostle Peter exhorted Christians to do two things; eagerly do good and readily represent. By doing what is good in the world, we have opportunity to silence our critics. As believers in Christ, we are to do good purposefully. We are to be agents of good work, prepared at all times to represent Jesus. Because, to give bitterness is to get bitterness back, but to give blessing is to receive blessing. It is a vision of life together which drives out the aggressive competitiveness of the winner- takes- all.

The blessing in this context involves living life to see the good days, finding peace, and having the eyes of the Lord on you. It also to have His ears open to your prayers. But even if you are to suffer for what is right, you are blessed.” Peter explains that as believers, we will certainly have to face all kinds of trials, injustices, and persecutions for righteousness sake; nonetheless, we are to zealously strive after that which is good. We are called to trust in the lord our God who has won the victory over sin, death, and Satan. He has promised that nothing can snatch us out of our father’s hand. Although, we may face physical suffering, financial hardships, material deprivation, other deep losses, and even death; we have God’s absolute assurance that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. In Christ we are overwhelmingly victorious, through Him who love us and gave himself to us.

PRAYER POINTS:

• Father God, take away far from me, the spirit of greediness. Give me a tender loving heart.

• Help me not to give bitterness, but blessing all the days of my life.

CONFESSION:

My mind is made up, nothing can separate me from the love of God.
