DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: JULY 7 FACTS ABOUT BEING BORN AGAIN (3) SCRIPTURE: 1 John 2: 29; 3: 9; 5: 1; 2 Tim. 3: 17
Facts about being born again cannot be exhausted within one discussion.About five of the facts have been discussed in this devotional so far. Today’s devotional will bring up two more facts. First here is, getting born again brings about a change of favour to the one who has been born again. This favour is on the stand of the born again Christian before God. The born again Christian is granted a change from a sinner to a saint. Another favour granted the born again person is the God’s Fatherly affection that has been casted on the born again. Two powerful gifts are given here. One is gift of justification. By this process, God declares the person been cleansed of all stains of sin upon him or her. Any time God looks at the person from heaven, He sees the righteousness of Jesus all over the person. Apostle Paul explained this by saying: “…We are justified, acquainted, declared righteous and given a right standing with God, through faith” (Rom.5: 1 Amplified Bible).
Second fact here is that, after getting born again, the believer’s character, state and services change. Major characters of a born again Christian involve not being habitual sinner, but believing at all time that Jesus is the only Saviour, living a life of righteousness and practicing it. Others include loving fellow Christians and keeping self pure. The born again state of living and service become dedicated to God. Such will be seen exhibiting attitudes of cleansing self from things of dishonour to doing things of honour; so that he or she remains an “Instrument for the purposes of working in holiness as well as being useful to the master and prepared to do good work (2 Timothy 2: 21 NIV). Such does good works without pressure or grudges.There therefore, exist on the inside of the born again Christian, an urge of doing things thoroughly furnished unto good work. Apostle Paul said, that person is a man of God who: – “…may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3: 17 Amplified).
The beloved, it is believed that the discussions on the principles of being born again and facts about becoming born again are useful to Christian knowledge. It is important here to examine our lives to see if we are born again on lip services or have these ingredients in our lives.
PRAYER:
JEHOVAH NISSI, I offer my life to you today for thorough check up. Look into my total contents and see where I lack in the qualities of real born again. Enable me to recover my lost glories in Jesus name.

I take upon my life today, that attributes of real born again child of God through God’s grace.
