Little do we know that the great literary icon have the Agila born renowned tax expert Mr. Sunday Odagba in mind when he said some achieves greatness.
The number one(1) tax man of Benue state, the acting Chairman of Benue state Internal Revenue Services (BIRS) has worked diligently and excellently to achieve greatness.
His renowned expertise in tax administration, has been making waves in the industry with his unwavering commitment to transparency and fairness.
As the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria (CITN), Makurdi district, he has been instrumental in promoting tax education and awareness, particularly in the Benue State region.
Notable for his strategic approach to Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) is his quest for excellence tax administration, transparency and fairness thereby organizing retreat, which aimed to rethink tax administration strategies and improve revenue generation for the state. His address at the retreat emphasized the importance of transparency and fairness in tax administration, setting the tone for a more accountable and efficient tax system.
Odagba’s dedication to tax administration and transparency has also led to the establishment of a Taxation department at the Benue State University (BSU). His support for the department’s creation and his team’s visit to the university demonstrate his commitment to nurturing the next generation of tax professionals and promoting tax education.
