DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: FEBRUARY 6 GOD’S KIND INVITATION TO REBELLIOUS NATIONS (3) Scripture: Num. 35: 31; Isaiah 1: 18; Ezekiel 18: 30, 32
The central focus of these three series devotionals is on the leaders of the world who have rebelled against God. Many of them have developed apathy to God’s words. Those who worship God before have abandoned His ways. The three series of the devotionals dwelt on the invitation to meeting God for reasoning together is appropriate for the global leaders. These days, over 75% of the world populations are engaging in violence, shedding of innocent blood at will, enslaving of the developing countries by the developed ones economically, politically as well as by their strange religions. God knows the curses on the nations already. He, by His merciful nature, has prepared a forgiving ground. Therefore, this call “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, th ey shall be as white as snow, though they are red as crimson they shall be like wool” (Isa. 1: 18 NIV).
The nations must answer this call! God sees we are set to annihilate ourselves, so the call. He made the call to tell His true love for mankind. He made the call, to hear from the world leaders that they are really confused and lost; bearings of their roles as His representatives in ruling the world. God is saying “Come now, let us reason together” as mentioned before connotes: –
✓ Come, sit down and let us talk.
✓ Come, let us argue these things out.
✓ Come now, let us settle this matter.
✓ Come, let us consider your opinion and mine for the good of the world.
Until we honour this invitation and meet with God, I personally believe things will be getting worse with the world. Unfortunately, many of our leaders will never look at things this way. Among the many evils the world is committing at will, the one that carries the greatest curses is killing of human beings by human beings. The blood of human beings brings everlasting curses upon the land on which it is dropped. Today, there is no place human blood has not been shed. God hate killing of human being by another human being, so He said “Thou shall not kill (Exod. 20: 13)”. He gave order to the Israelites that anyone who kills has to be killed (Numbers 35: 31). He refused King David of building Him a Temple because David’s hands were full of blood (1 Chro. 22: 8).
In the same way, God has never been happy with the ways we murder each other. The world is busy manufacturing war arsenals, powerful guns, bombs, ballistic missiles and other heavy weapons just to destroy fellow human beings. God is certainly angry. Yet, He calls for round table talks. Our religious leaders can be empowered to meet with God. He will surely show us ways for best governance. Further delay could be dangerous!!!
PRAYERS:
1. Ask God for mercy upon the entire world and her leaders. Tell God to forgive the whole world of her sins.
2. Ask God to bring repentant hearts to the rebellious leaders and the wicked individuals in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Tell God to bring us revival again in our days in Jesus name.
STATEMENT OF CNFESSION:
God’s deliverance will be seen on the world again in Jesus name.
