DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: FEBRUARY 8 TOPIC: LIVING A LIFE OF IMPACT (1) Scriptures: Mark 12: 29 -31, 2 Peter 1: 3

Spread the love

Living a life of impact as a Christian, is living a meaningful life, a life that will change the world for Christ. It takes someone who will be who God made him to be who will discover his purpose on earth and pursue it passionately to be able to impact lives of others. Matt 25: 21, 23, 26 – 30. What would you have to do to be remembered in 10-20 years after you die? You have been given so much, what will you do with it? Will you prefer to be commended by your creator; “well done good and faithful servant” or to be condemned, “you wicked and lazy servant?”

Your impact will come out of loving God and loving people. If you don’t do both of these, you will make no impact. Eph. 2:10, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Remember that your weaknesses, failures, and inabilities are no challenge to God’s plan for your life; your willingness does. If God could use Moses who was afraid, insecure and full of doubt, He can use you. If God could use John the Baptist who wore Carmel’s skin, ate locust and honey, and lived in the desert; He can use you. Can you sacrifice your comfort for the benefit of another? You must be ready to die to self, everything shouldn’t be about you, think about others.

What dream has God put in your heart? Don’t limit God with your expectations (fear of what you can’t do). What gift has God given you? And what are your passions? What has He called you to do? I urge you today to work by faith and not by sight. Put your hopes, dreams, desires, ambitions, and your plans on God, the author and the finisher of our soul.

Prayer points:

• Love is an attribute of God, my father God, help me to love people just like you us your children.
• Oh God, help me to be able to sacrifice my comfort for the benefit of others.
• Oh Lord, my God, enable me to please you with my life every day.

Confession:

I am blessed, I am gifted, and I have what it takes to be a blessing to people around me in Jesus Name.
