Ado Local Government Chairman and Ado APC Express Deepest Condolences Following Tragic Road Accident

The Chairman of Ado Local Government Council, Engr. Sunny Oche, and the Ado chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are profoundly saddened by the devastating road accident that occurred on February 15, 2025, on the Lagos-Asaba highway. This tragic event claimed the lives of over 18 members of the Ufia community who were traveling to Utonkon for a burial ceremony.

“Our hearts are heavy with grief upon learning of this terrible loss,” stated Engr. Oche. “The entire Ado Local Government Council and the APC extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims. We pray for the eternal rest of those who perished and offer our unwavering support to those left behind during this incredibly difficult time.”

As a mark of respect and to allow for collective mourning, Engr. Oche has announced the suspension of all APC party functions for one week, effective immediately. This includes the postponement of the Three Joint Meeting scheduled for today February 16, 2025. He urges all residents of Ado to join in prayer for the repose of the souls of the departed.

The Local Government Council is actively exploring ways to provide support to the affected families. Further details will be shared in due course.
