

Ado Local Government Chairman Pledges Full Support for Burial of Accident Victims
The Chairman of Ado Local Government, Engr. Sunny Oche, has announced his full commitment to supporting the burial arrangements for victims of a recent tragic accident involving Ado casualties from the Utonkon District on February 15, 2025. In a statement released on February 16, 2025 the Chairman declared a one-week suspension of all political activities as a mark of respect and to allow for collective mourning.
Engr. Oche has already provided an initial financial contribution supplementing ongoing donations from various sources. He expressed his gratitude to the Ufia Development Association (UDA) and the Ufia Youth Forum National for their organized handling of the burial arrangements, commending their efforts in coordinating the process. He further extended his thanks to all individuals who have contributed financially and otherwise to ensure the success of the arrangements, offering a prayer for their generosity to be rewarded.
To guarantee a safe and orderly process, Engr. Oche has directed Ado Local Government’s security chiefs to provide comprehensive security during all stages of the burial arrangements, beginning with the arrival of the bodies. He has emphasized the importance of maintaining utmost caution and decorum throughout the proceedings. The Local Government is also planning additional relief measures to support the bereaved families during this difficult time.
Engr. Oche urged all residents of Ado Local Government to demonstrate solidarity and empathy during this period of grief. He reiterated his commitment to providing ongoing support to those affected by the accident.
