SENATOR DIKET PLANG LAUNCHES MEGA EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE IN PLATEAU CENTRAL
The distinguished Senator representing Plateau Central at the National Assembly, Diket Plang, has made a groundbreaking empowerment initiative to his constituents which has brought smiles to the faces of the people.
Disclosing at the flag-off ceremony, Sen.Diket Plang stated that the empowerment program initiated by him aims to equip his constituents with the needed tools and equipment to boost economic activities in the zone, improve agriculture, and engage the youths and women in gainful business ventures.
Senator Diket Plang rolled out the various items to be distributed to constituents including over hundred (100) Heavy duty Grinding Machines(Lister) to various communities and tribes in Plateau Central, over 300 Water Pumping Machines to irrigation famers, 200 P.O.S Machines to businesses owners and trucks of Fertilizers.
To aspiring entrepreneurs particularly women and youths, various mini Grinding Machines, hair dryers/clippers were distributed, Agro products including pesticide/ herbicides were also given to farmers to boost yild.
Additionally, the distinguished Senator, Diket Plang, shared five thousand packages(5kg) of rice, millet and Guinea corn to be distributed across the five LGAs of the zone to the Muslim communities celebrating the Ramadan fast.
The one-of-a-kind empowerment initiative cuts across all religions, tribes, and parties. The senator stressed that his tenure aims to unite the people of his constituency and boost economic activities; he added that groups such as PIDAN, JNI, Miyetti Allah, as well as all the tribes in the Central Zone stand to benefit from the mega empowerment.
Goodwill remarks were received from the APC State/Zonal Excos and other distinguished personalities such as Rt.Hon Emmanuel Lokji Goar, Hon.Alice Dimlong, Prof Padam Yamsat, Hon.Bulus Sulesman(APC legal Adviser), Hon. Shittu Bameyi(APC press secretary) who all applauded the distinguished senator for making the zone proud.
