DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: MARCH 17 WHOSE MARK ARE YOU CARRYING? (2) Scripture: Gen. 4: 15; Ezek. 9: 4; Psa. 105: 13 – 14
The first series informed us how a husband was marked with the claws of a wild beast in dream which resulted in closing all doors against the man. Simple interpretation here is that, the man was marked for rejection and destruction of whatever he intended doing in life. In deliverance ministries, spiritual and physical marks given by evil forces are highly recognized. Almost every person goes about with some marks of evil forces as well as suffers the afflictions the marks represent. Some many Christians hardly take marks seen on them serious. Truth remains that spiritual marks carry spells, ill-lucks, delay in marriages and businesses, stagnations as well as concurrent sicknesses and so forth.
Christians are to know that Satan and his followers always produce counterfeits of God’s powers. In our lead texts above, we read how God placed another mark on Cain’s forehead that whoever kills him will suffer vengeance seven times over after he killed his brother (Gen. 4: 15).* God puts marks on His people’s foreheads to stop them from being killed by enemies (Ezek. 9: 4).
Satan does imitate God in placing marks on his vulnerable victims, who he purposed to destroy or subjects to perpetual sufferings. Whoever we carry his or her marks about makes the marks reflect around us. We do see afflictions on people carrying marks of various degrees. *There is a family that five of their females married and later became divorcees. There is a young boy from a family that their males never celebrated fiftieth birthdays. All used to die before fifty years. Others carry about, marks of dangerous anger. A story was told of how a young man killed his wife and the wife’s brother in a day. His elder brother prepared acid to kill his wife, but God intervened. This family carry mark of murder.
Besides, evil marks are given to objects and house wares so that anyone who purchases them suffer from one affliction to the other. These marks are seen reflecting in constant burning of houses, regular domestic violence, vehicular accidents as the marks enable spirit of accident to monitor the movements of the householders. The objects with these marks are used for windows through which attacks are passed to the people in the houses they are displayed. Some framed pictures, art and crafts, flowers, ceramic objects etc., we buy are with these marks.
Against all facts about the evil marks one carries about, truth remains that Christians can be freed from these marks. Only the Christians, who don’t believe that afflictions pass through evil marks on them, suffer from the afflictions till they are consumed. Biblical truth stands that, God marks His own with marks of protection and preservation. *The Psalmist recorded that God does not permit evil to consume His people, even as they move from nations to nations (Psalm 105: 13 14). We Christians can stand on Psalm 105: 13 – 14 and prayerfully deliver ourselves from whatever marks we are carrying about.* A good and God’s anointed deliverance Minister of God can be contacted for help. My humble self hereby, declare you free today from all sorts of evil marks making life miserable for you in Jesus name.
PRAYERS:
1. Pray and reject carrying any evil mark on your forehead or body as your property in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Pray and reject the believe that your hardship is normal because many people are passing through same trouble by the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Ask God to mark your life today with the Blood of Jesus His Son to cancel all satanic marks on your life in Jesus name.
POSITIVE CONFESSION:
I no longer see myself carrying marks of evil. I wear the mark of the Blood of Jesus as my garment of honour. Hallelujah!!!
