FOR DR. MUSTAPHA ABDULLAHI, LET THERE BE LIGHT

Spread the love

Let there be light” – Genesis 1 verse 3

The above quote is a Biblical phrase where God was reported to have commanded the creation of light. The quote is so famous that it is often repeatedly used to symbolize the power of light over darkness, signifying hope over forlornness, clarity over opaqueness, and often times the start of a new dawn in human endeavours. However, at the _Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), under the ascendancy of its numero uno, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, it is beyond mere rhetorics. It is an affirmative action hinged on Renewed Hope agenda of the current administration.

The Energy Commission boss, Dr. Abdullahi is leaving no stone unturned in accentuating the Renewed Hope manifesto of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the area of energy revitalisation. He has thus far kept an open door policy where synergies, collaborations, and partnerships that are in tandem with his vision for a brighter, cleaner, and sustainable energy development are welcomed from both local and international partners, groups as well as corporate body.

By keying into Mr. President’s transformative agenda and measurable milestones woven around modernised infrastructure in the energy sector, Dr. Abdullahi is equally complementing the Commander-in-Chief_ of the Federal Republic in the area of laying solid foundation for a resilient energy economy and bequeathing a lasting legacy of energy prosperity. Hence, his continuous efforts at forming partnerships that ultimately will build a virile energy revivification.

In living up to his blueprint for the country’s energy sector, Dr. Abdullahi, the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) few days ago unveiled the Renewed Hope Solarization Project during a press briefing at the State House, Abuja. The initiative was said would deliver 2 megawatts of cleaner, safer, and sustainable renewable energy to each of the 37 federal universities spread across the federation. This move will also reduce energy cost to the tune of N47bn annually.

Dr. Abdullahi’s energy agenda for the country is rooted in a long-term impact that will light up the hinterlands, empower the country’s teeming youths, improve the nation’s economy in the area of the Gross Domestic Products (GDP) on one hand, and reduce capital flight associated with energy across the country.

With a vision that goes beyond the rhetoric of electrifying cities and lighting up villages, Dr. Abdullahi is providing leadership that empowers people through sustainable energy solutions, reduces unemployment rate, engenders development, and consolidates President Tinubu’s all-round reforms.

With Dr. Abdullahi, there shall be light in the nation. Light of an improved economy. Light of a sustainable energy development and light of feel good, seeable, and measurable milestones.
