

Ado Local Government Chairman Honors Ikpomolokpo Elders, Reinforces Community Unity
Engr. Sunny Oche, Chairman of Ado Local Government, recently hosted a special event honoring the elders of Ikpomolokpo, his own community, expressing deep gratitude for their guidance and contributions since his administration began on October 5, 2024. The event, held at Engr. Oche’s country home, celebrated the elders’ crucial role in fostering harmony and peaceful coexistence within the community.
Engr. Oche according to a report by his Principal Private Secretary, Innocent Igelle lauded the elders’ fatherly advice and unwavering support, emphasizing their importance as neighbors and kinsmen. He expressed his satisfaction with the positive atmosphere they have cultivated within Ikpomolokpo.
Mr. Mathew Agbo, Chairman of the Ikpomolokpo Elders Forum, reciprocated the appreciation, describing Engr. Oche as a “man with a large heart, accommodating, hard-working, and a true son of his father.” He pledged the elders’ continued prayers and unwavering support for the Chairman’s leadership of the Local Government, highlighting their commitment to the progress of Ikpomolokpo.
Mr. Patrick Edeh, National Vice President of the Ikpomolokpo Development Association (IDA), conveyed a goodwill message from the IDA’s National Leadership, under the Chairmanship of Engr. James Oche. The IDA expressed a vote of confidence in Engr. Sunny Oche, declaring their full support for his administration. Mr. Edeh emphasized the IDA’s commitment to working collaboratively with the Chairman to ensure the benefits of democracy reach all citizens.
The event also included representatives from the women of Ikpomolokpo, including Mrs. Theresa Abah, Hon. Rebecca Agbo, and Mrs. Patience Agbudu. They pledged their full support to Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia (Ph.D) and Engr. Sunny Oche, promising active mobilization within their communities.
In his closing remarks, Engr. Oche thanked all attendees, stressing the importance of peace and unity. He urged the youth to engage in productive activities, adapt to a rapidly changing world, and become positive ambassadors for their community.
