Chinedu Ogah Foundation Donates Foodstuffs To Corps Members In Ebonyi

The Chinedu Ogah Foundation, a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization, has donated assorted food items worth millions of naira to Ebonyi NYSC,

The food items is meant to serve Corps Members currently undergoing the three-week orientation program for the 2025 Batch A Stream II of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Old MacGregor College, Afikpo, Ebonyi State.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Foundation, the Executive Secretary, Ann Eke-Okocha, said the gesture was aimed at welcoming the Corps Members to Ebonyi State and expressing appreciation for their willingness to serve the nation.

Eke-Okocha described the donation as the Foundation’s way of acknowledging the impact of the NYSC scheme, which, according to her, has played a pivotal role in shaping many lives, including beneficiaries of the Foundation.

Receiving the items, the NYSC Ebonyi State Coordinator, Mrs. Oladeinde Foluke, expressed gratitude to the Foundation for the rare humanitarian support. She described the gesture as the first of its kind in the state’s NYSC history.

“On behalf of the 2025 Batch A Stream II Corps Members and the entire NYSC Ebonyi family, I sincerely thank the Chinedu Ogah Foundation and especially Honourable Comrade Chinedu Ogah, a man of integrity and foresight, for fulfilling his promise to the Corps Members,” she said.

Mrs. Foluke assured that the donated items would be used judiciously for the welfare of the Corps Members. She also disclosed that the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General OO Nafiu, would be formally informed of the kind gesture.

The NYSC Coordinator further commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his consistent support to the NYSC, which she said had inspired stakeholders like Hon. Ogah to follow suit.

The Chinedu Ogah Foundation was established by Honourable Comrade Chinedu Ogah, the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly. The Foundation is known for its numerous humanitarian interventions across education, health, and youth empowerment.
