By Pan Afric Reporters| June 21, 2025 Minna, Nigeria – The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its commitment to producing battle-ready troops by charging its training institutions to prioritize relevant, adaptive, and mission-oriented courses that directly address the nation’s evolving security landscape.

This directive according to a press release e-signed by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations Training and Doctrine Command, Nigerian Army, Sani Uba was delivered by the Chief of Training (Army), Major General Abubakar Ndalolo, during the 2025 Mid-Year Courses Appraisal Conference held at the Headquarters of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC NA) in Minna from June 18 to 21. Maj Gen Ndalolo, represented by Maj Gen Ayoola Aboaba, Deputy Chief of Training (Army), underscored the urgent need for training institutions to align their programs with the realities of modern warfare and Nigeria’s operational environment.

“Our ultimate objective remains the production of competent, confident, and mission-ready officers and soldiers. The contemporary operational challenges facing our nation demand nothing less than relevant, adaptive, and mission-focused training,” Maj Gen Ndalolo emphasized.
The conference served as a platform for collective assessment of training progress, identification of implementation gaps, and recalibration of strategies to meet the Nigerian Army’s 2025 Training Directives.

In his closing remarks, Maj Gen Ndalolo assured participants of the Army Headquarters’ unwavering support in facilitating improved training delivery, adding that the high level of professionalism demonstrated in the past six months has set a strong foundation for continued growth.

Maj Gen Aligbe noted that the conference enabled an in-depth review of the compliance level with approved courses, and allowed for the rationalization of training programs for the remaining quarters of 2025. He added that the adjustments will help institutions remain in line with strategic training objectives and operational demands.

He also reminded participants about the forthcoming Field Training Exercise EXERCISE MUGUN BUGU 2025, involving Combat Arms, Combat Support Arms, and Combat Service Arms, urging all institutions to prepare accordingly.
Maj Gen Aligbe concluded by expressing appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, for his visionary leadership and continuous support toward the development of the Nigerian Army through TRADOC NA.
