Senator Ken Eze Bags 2 International Certificates Of Honour In Zhengzhou, China

The Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Senator Ken Eze, has been decorated with two international certificates of honour in Zhengzhou, China, for his outstanding performance and completion of a one-month intensive course on Food System Transition and Security for African English-Speaking Countries.
According to his Legislative Secretary, Godwin Nwafor who issued a statement on behalf of the lawmaker, Senator Eze was nominated by the 10th National Assembly to represent Nigeria at the highly profiled training hosted by Henan University of Technology.
His robust contributions to agricultural development, legislative efficiency, and human capacity building earned him the special recognition.
Delivering a keynote address at the programme, the Federal Lawmaker urged stronger Africa–China collaboration to adopt sustainable, technology-driven agricultural systems that would address food insecurity amid climate change, insecurity, and rising population pressures.
Senator Eze emphasized that food security in Africa transcends farming concerns, insisting it is a matter of national security, economic stability, and human survival.
He pledged to enrich Nigeria’s legislative framework with insights gained from the training, particularly in advancing agribusiness and farmer empowerment.
Commending him for his outstanding carriage and contributions, the Henan University authorities hailed Senator Eze as a “distinguished ambassador of Nigeria” whose recognition would further strengthen his resolve to drive agricultural reforms and sustainable food systems across Africa.
The Senator applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of Needs administration for their transformative strides in the agricultural sector, describing farmer safety and empowerment as the foundation for lasting food security in Nigeria.
