DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: OCTOBER 3 GOD OF SECRETS (3) SCRIPTURE: DEUT. 8: 18; 29: 9; Psa. 144: 1; Josh. 1: 7
We saw yesterday how it is a mere foolishness doing things in secrets believing the truth cannot be made public. It is folly exercise because no matter whatever sins committed and concealed, it stands sure of being exposed. In concluding this series, there will be need to touch briefly another folly being exercised in the earth. This folly is about going to the self-acclaim false prophets or prophetesses to receive secrets of successes or prosperities. It is folly in the sense that an individual, who genuinely believes in God and trusts His Revelation knowledge, stands every chance to receive secrets of life from God. Real prophetic knowledge still abides with those who sincerely relate with God in righteousness and reverence anyway. The moment we commit ourselves completely in intimate relationship with God, His Holy Spirit takes over the responsibilities of revealing secrets of things including success in whatever we lay our hands to do.
There are many verses of the Bible that support how God gives success to those who keep His commandments. We can see Deuteronomy 29: 9 which says: “So keep the words of this covenant to do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.” It is Biblically correct to conclude that failure most often, in business and other endeavours in life comes from our total refusal to obey the words of God. Hear the Bible’s instruction to Joshua: “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do” (Josh. 1:7 Africa Study Bible). One of the easiest ways human beings fail in attaining successes in life is failure to learning from someone about how things are done. Human wisdom has limits but wisdom got from obedience to God is limitless.
When talking of secrets of success it has to be extended to how to win wars over our enemies. God is He who knows the greatest ways to fight battles. King David says God taught his hand how to war, and his fingers for battle (Psa. 144: 1). We are in a generation of making quick profit in what we do. Again, God cannot be pushed aside here. If we want to make profits or become prosperous, God has the secrets for us. The power of making wealth lies with God (Deut. 8: 18). This is what many refute but it is the solid truth. God again is He who teaches human beings how to make profits (Isa. 48: 17). The beloved, we all will see that God has secrets of all things. Going for native Doctor for money making will surely lead to disgrace. Sharp practices for profit making easily lead to shortages. Only secrets got from God concerning business or success is dependable.
PRAYERS:
1. FATHER, I now know that you own secrets to things I am looking for in life. Release the unction of the secrets to all things I am pursuing in life in Jesus name.
2. LORD JESUS, make all who believe in you become prosperous in all their ways. Rain upon me secrets of how to be genuinely rich and wealthy upon your churches here on the earth. Amen
