DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: JUNE 3 CAN WE SEE DANGER IN OUR WORLD TODAY? (1) SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 24: 9 – 15

The past two days’ devotionals directly or indirectly touched issues of Signs of the End Time. Many people seem to be talking that “It is signs of the end time…” Most likely, many are seeing the world from different angles. Therefore, those referring to End Time Events may be quoting others. The word is expected to see dangers looming in the air indicating that certain things are not normal. In another world, we should be able to see things in the Spiritual realm to know there is danger in our world of today. Therefore, today’s devotional is delving into what many people know but don’t want to be told. It is all about events that herald the End Time Bible talks about. The events are so many. Jesus talked of how many will come to deceive the world saying “I am the messiah” (Matt. 24: 5). Are we not seeing this today? Jesus said over 2000 years ago that wars will be seen between tribes, nations, kingdoms, sons and fathers as well as daughters and mothers will show the end of the world is around the corner. And, we are seeing wars and rumours of wars today. Does not this tell that danger is around us today? There are wars everywhere today. Yet people seem not to care.

Both in the physical and the Spiritual we can see danger how Christians are been hated all over the world because they believe in Jesus. Even those who followed Him before have begun to turn away from Him. People betraying one another will emerge everywhere. The Bible said it in Matt. 24: 9 – 10). Are we not seeing influx of prophets and prophetesses preaching heresy and turning the Church of God to theater of falsehoods? Proliferations of Prophetic Ministries must be accepted as great Spiritual Danger to the world of today. These false prophets and prophetesses are capturing people very fast, turning them away from the truth of the gospel. This could be accepted as sacrilegious and dangerous!

We Christians must be spiritually sensitive to see the danger around us. Presence of technology and knowledge which supposed to bring peace and love into the world has failed the world of today. Technology and knowledge increase crimes, wars, hates, intentional killing of innocent people and many others. One Pastor, Tim More who wrote an article on “Spiritual Signs Abounding” tagged this as “cacophony of contradictions.” He said that “Knowledge is accessible in volumes never before imagined, and yet wisdom is tragically illusive.” This is dangerous, that much of the knowledge the world is accessing is producing ineffective wisdom. The beloved, nobody can say “I am not seeing this danger.” But there is hope for the spiritually sensitive people.

PRAYER:

FATHER, I plead that my worldly knowledge that contradicts the Spiritual wisdom in me should be plugged out of my heart and mind today in the name of Jesus Christ.
