The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, for what it described as a landmark investment in Nigeria’s justice sector following the commissioning of a state-of-the-art Court of Appeal Complex, residential quarters for judicial officers, and other critical judicial infrastructure projects in Abuja.
The commendation was contained in a press statement issued by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on June 18, 2026.
According to the ruling party, the successful commissioning of the newly completed Court of Appeal Complex, alongside a 20-unit residential quarters for Court of Appeal Justices and Federal High Court Judges, underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and enhancing the administration of justice in Nigeria.
The APC also welcomed the planned commissioning of another 20-unit residential estate for judges of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, describing the projects as a significant boost to the country’s judicial system.
In addition, the party celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of residential quarters for judges of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria and the Code of Conduct Tribunal, projects expected to be completed by January 2027.
According to the statement, the infrastructure interventions are part of broader efforts by the Federal Government to modernize the justice sector and equip it to meet the demands of a 21st-century democracy.
“The delivery of these critical and massive judicial infrastructure projects reflects President Tinubu’s iron-clad commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, promoting the rule of law, upholding the independence of the judiciary, and guaranteeing the dignity and welfare of judicial officers,” the APC stated.
The party noted that the provision of modern court facilities and quality accommodation for judicial officers represents a strategic investment in the administration of justice and democratic governance.
It argued that improving the working and living conditions of judges would not only enhance judicial efficiency but also strengthen public confidence in the nation’s justice system.
“By improving the working and living conditions of judicial officers, the administration is promoting judicial efficiency while reinforcing public confidence in our justice system,” the statement added.
The APC reserved special praise for the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, applauding what it described as his commitment, leadership, and effective execution of projects aligned with President Tinubu’s vision for institutional reform and infrastructure development.
“We extend our profound commendation to Hon. Minister Wike for his unalloyed commitment, leadership, effective and timely execution of these projects in realization of President Tinubu’s broader vision of institutional reform, infrastructure development, and national progress,” the party said.
Reflecting on the third anniversary of the Tinubu administration, the APC said the ongoing transformation of judicial infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory serves as evidence of the government’s dedication to effective justice delivery, respect for the rule of law, and the consolidation of democratic governance.
The party maintained that strengthening the judiciary remains central to Nigeria’s development aspirations and democratic stability, stressing that investments in judicial infrastructure are essential to building a more prosperous and law-abiding society.
The APC concluded that the projects stand as a clear demonstration of the administration’s resolve to create a modern justice system capable of meeting contemporary challenges while safeguarding democratic values and national progress.
