Nigerians looking for safe, nutritious and affordable dairy products now have a new option on the shelves as Al-Qafila Trading Limited has assured consumers that its range of premium Saudi milk products meets stringent international quality standards, is fully approved by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and is competitively priced for the Nigerian market.

Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the Nigeria-Saudi Tourism Exhibition in Abuja on Tuesday, the Managing Director of Al-Qafila Trading Limited, Dr. Shuaibu Abubakar, said the company’s dairy products combine quality, nutrition, affordability and food safety, offering Nigerian families a healthy alternative in the growing dairy market.

According to him, Al-Qafila serves as a strategic trade bridge between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, importing premium consumer products while facilitating international business relationships between both countries.

“Our products have been duly registered with NAFDAC, and we ensure that every regulatory requirement is fulfilled before bringing them into the Nigerian market. Consumers can be confident that they are purchasing products that meet recognised quality and safety standards,” he said.

Dr. Abubakar disclosed that the company’s flagship Saudi milk is available in multiple flavours, including plain, chocolate, strawberry and date, with different packaging sizes designed to suit children, adults and family consumption.

He explained that the products are manufactured under strict quality control systems in Saudi Arabia and retain their freshness and nutritional value throughout their shelf life when properly stored.

Addressing concerns over preservatives commonly associated with packaged dairy products, the managing director assured consumers that the milk contains no harmful substances and complies with internationally accepted food safety standards.

“There is no danger associated with our products. They are produced in Saudi Arabia under strict manufacturing and quality assurance processes. Saudi Arabia is known globally for maintaining high standards in food production,” he stated.

He further revealed that the plain milk contains no added sugar, making it an ideal choice for health-conscious consumers, while the date-flavoured variant derives its sweetness naturally from dates, offering a healthier alternative to artificially sweetened beverages.

Beyond quality, Dr. Abubakar said affordability remains one of the company’s strongest selling points, noting that despite being imported, the products are competitively priced to make premium nutrition accessible to more Nigerian households.

“Our goal is to make world-class dairy products available at prices Nigerians can afford. We have combined premium quality with affordability because we believe healthy nutrition should not be a luxury,” he said.

The company currently operates from its headquarters in Kano, with additional offices in Abuja and Oyo State, while expanding its distribution network across Kaduna, Lagos and other parts of the country to improve product availability nationwide.

Dr. Abubakar acknowledged that the products are still relatively new in Nigeria but said Al-Qafila is investing heavily in consumer education and brand awareness through traditional and digital media to deepen market penetration.

“We are relatively new in the Nigerian market, which explains why awareness is still growing. However, we are expanding rapidly and increasing our visibility through social media, conventional media and strategic partnerships to ensure Nigerians can easily access our products,” he said.

He encouraged Nigerians to experience the products firsthand, expressing confidence that their rich taste, nutritional benefits, premium quality and competitive pricing would continue to win consumer confidence and position the brand among the country’s preferred dairy products.
