ANAMBRA POLICE ARRAIGNS THREE SUSPECTS FOR UNNATURAL OFFENCE AND WERE REMANDED IN A CORRECTIONAL CENTRE IN THE STATE

The Anambra State Police Command has arraigned three male suspects before the Special Court, Awka, for offences bordering on unnatural acts, contrary to the provisions of the Criminal Code Act.
The suspects: Chizitem Nwankwo ‘M’ 20 years, Uche Paul ‘M’ 36 years and Chinedu Maduekwe ‘M’ 40 years respectively were all remanded in a correctional centre in the State. Their arraignment followed a meticulous investigation conducted by Police detectives after credible intelligence and evidence were gathered. The Case File was later forwarded to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice, which recommended their prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc minps PhD, according to a press release e-signed by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that all criminal cases are investigated and prosecuted in line with legal provisions. He further urged the public to continue providing useful information that can aid the Police in maintaining Law and Order across the State, assuring that justice will always be pursued within the bounds of the law.
