Osun 2026: ‘Victory Is Non-Negotiable’ — Uzodimma Fires Up APC Campaign Council, Unveils Winning Strategy for AMBO

With less than two weeks to the Osun State governorship election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified its battle for the August 15 poll as Chairman of the National Campaign Council, Governor Hope Uzodimma, declared that the party’s mission is singular and uncompromising—deliver victory for its candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO). He charged members of the council to abandon every distraction, activate aggressive grassroots mobilisation and execute a coordinated campaign capable of securing a decisive electoral triumph.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the APC National Campaign Council and its sub-committees at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja, Uzodimma, who chairs the council, said the committee was constituted strictly as a service team to ensure the party emerges victorious in the August 15 governorship election.

Declaring that the assignment before the council was one of sacrifice and commitment, the Imo State governor reminded members that the campaign was not an occasion for celebration but a strategic mission to win.

“This meeting is not for merry-making. It is not for any jamboree. It is for people to come and offer service,” he said.

Uzodimma directed all sub-committees to conclude their meetings before Thursday and submit practical recommendations to strengthen the party’s campaign operations across Osun State. He instructed committee chairmen to forward their resolutions to the council’s National Secretary, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, highlighting areas requiring the intervention of the Central Working Committee.

Emphasising the urgency of the assignment, the governor declared:

“You have only one mission—to win the election. Everything else can come after the election.”

He also tasked the Finance Sub-Committee with mobilising financial support from party members and stakeholders committed to the APC’s victory, while urging every member of the campaign council to remain focused on the shared objective of delivering Osun for the party.

The APC National Campaign Council was inaugurated to coordinate campaign strategy, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and drive the party’s push for victory in the August 15, 2026, governorship election.
