The historic event, held as part of the Idoma Centenary Plus celebrations, recognised eminent personalities whose achievements and contributions have brought honour to the Idoma nation and society at large.
The ceremony attracted prominent political leaders and other distinguished personalities, including former Senate President, Senator David Mark; Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro; and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who delivered the keynote address.
More than 80 eminent personalities were listed for recognition across various fields, including politics, education, law, medicine, business, entertainment and public service.
The Idoma Hall of Fame initiative seeks to preserve the history and cultural heritage of the Idoma people, document the accomplishments of outstanding individuals and inspire younger generations to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.
Patriot Nelson Ogbu’s attendance underscored the significance of the occasion as a platform for celebrating Idoma identity, honouring distinguished achievers and promoting the enduring values of service, unity and community development.
