Sen. Barau extolls President Tinubu’s leadership dexterity and political will
The Deputy Senate President (DSP), Senator Jubril Barau has on Tuesday extolled the leadership dexterity and political will of President Bola Tinubu, hails his commitment to the well being of Nigerians and the development of the country; says Tinubu will transform Nigeria just as he transformed Lagos and urged Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu.
Barau who commended President Tinubu for signing into law, a Bill for an Act to establish North West Development Commission (NWDC) says it will help in galvanizing resources for the development of the zone especially at the aftermath of the devastating effect of Boko haram, banditry and kidnapping in the zone.
Harping on the strategic roles of the zone to the daily economics life of Nigerians, he said the zone is known for it strategic role in the day to day life of Nigerians and with this, the zone will do more.
Says the ripples effect of development in the zone will spread across the country
Addressing journalists in Abuja shortly after the plenary, Barau who sponsored the bill for the creation of the commission express gratitude on behalf of the people of North West Nigeria.
Recall that the Bill is sought to establish the commission that will be charged with the responsibility to receive and manage fund from allocation of the Federation Account for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads, houses and other infrastructural damage suffered by the region as a result of insurgent.
The DSP maintained that “the North West Development Commission is coming at the right time because the region has been ravaged by insurgency, banditry, kidnapping and others”.
According to the DSP, “Tinubu has started already and has just spend a year in office while within that one year he has done so many things for this country and believed he will still do more”.
“I want to implore all Nigerians to be patient with Mr. President. He will transform Nigeria just as he transformed Lagos” he said.
