Director General of Benue State Bureau For Public Procurement Celebrates Christmas with Igumale Residents

Dr. Engr. Comfort Akwonya Adadu, Director General of Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) for Benue State, recently hosted a Christmas celebration with residents of Igumale Ward 1 and 2 in Ado Local Government Area. This visit, part of a planned tour of all ten wards in the local government, signifies a commitment to strengthening community ties and fostering harmony within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party.

During her visit, Dr. Engr. Adadu expressed her profound appreciation for the Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia (PhD), Deputy Governor Barr. Sam Ode and other members of his team for the effective governance of the state, highlighting the swift implementation of the N75,000 minimum wage for civil servants as a key achievement.

Dr. Adadu according to a press release e-signed by the Principal Private Secretary of Ado LGC Chairman, Innocent Igelle commended the ongoing development of the Igumale-Agila road, urging the Governor to extend similar infrastructure improvements to the Utonkon-Igumale road. Dr. Adadu also emphasized the critical role of unity within the APC, underscoring the importance of a cohesive party structure for optimal effectiveness and support of the Governor’s leadership.

“My visit to Igumale is a testament to my commitment to the residents of Ado, as a critical stakeholder” stated Dr. Engr. Adadu. “This visit is not just a Christmas celebration, but also a building block for future collaborations and growth. I believe in the visionary leadership of Governor Alia and Engr. Sunny Oche, and their dedication to uplifting Ado Local Government.”

Addressing the women attendees, Dr. Engr. Adadu encouraged them to excel in their roles as homemakers while simultaneously actively participating in party activities, emphasizing their significant contribution to society. She distributed Christmas gifts, including cash, salt, Maggi seasoning, and cooking oil, to the women present.

The traditional leader of Ado Local Government, the Ada Ado, HRH Joseph Ochikor Onazi and other notable figures, including the Deputy Leader of the Ado Legislative House Hon. Otse Sunday Ogenyi (Ward 1); his Ward 2 counterpart, Hon. Otsapa Daniel Otse and the Supervisory Councilor for Education, Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Noble F. Abakpa, were present at the celebration, expressing their full support for Governor Alia’s leadership. They lauded the Governor and Engr. Sunny Oche for their dedication and commitment to the advancement of the local government and state.

This visit underscores the administration’s commitment to connecting with the communities and prioritizing the needs of the people.
