In a strategic move to reposition the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA) for greater efficiency and to prepare for prospective investments, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Prince Ebitimi Amgbare,  announces the dissolution of the procurement unit attached to his office.

The decision according to a report from NDBDA HQ Port Harcourt, Rivers State underscores the MD/CEO’s commitment to restructuring the Authority to align with its mandates and attract meaningful partnerships.

To ensure continuity, the report reveal that the Authority will rely on an adhoc procurement team pending the establishment of a restructured unit. A comprehensive verification exercise would be enacted to produce credible and capable personnel to man the unit for optimal outcomes.

Prince Amgbare emphasized that the move aligns with the Authority’s commitment to implementing best practices in public procurement and fostering accountability in project execution. He further assured stakeholders that the restructuring would enhance the delivery of NDBDA’s mandate, particularly in areas critical to the socio-economic development of the Niger Delta region.

The MD reiterated his dedication to ensuring the highest standards of governance and urged staff to cooperate fully with the changes for the collective benefit of the Authority and the communities it serves.
He reaffirmed his dedication to driving sustainable growth and development across the Niger Delta region.
