Today, on the floor of the Senate, I officially crossed over to the All Progressives Congress (APC)! This decision was made after deep reflection and wide consultations with key stakeholders, political associates, and, most importantly, my constituents in Delta North Senatorial District.
For years, I have remained committed to the ideals of good governance, effective representation, and the well-being of my people. However, it became increasingly clear that remaining in my former party would not allow me to fulfill the promises I made to my constituents. The challenges within the party, particularly in Delta State, have hindered progress, making it difficult to work effectively for the development of my people.
Crossing over to the APC is a strategic step towards aligning with a platform that prioritizes national interest, economic growth, and people-centered policies. The APC, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has demonstrated a clear vision for Nigeria’s development, and I am excited to be part of this movement for positive change.
I want to sincerely appreciate the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his leadership and warm reception into the party. I also extend my gratitude to the Senate President, His Excellency, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for his support and encouragement during this transition. His leadership in the Senate has continued to foster unity and progress, and I look forward to working closely with him and my colleagues to advance policies that will benefit the Nigerian people.
To my supporters, constituents, and well-wishers, I am deeply grateful for your unwavering trust and belief in me. As I transition into this new phase, my commitment to the people of Delta North remains steadfast. I will continue to advocate for policies and initiatives that will build a stronger Delta, a united South-South, and a prosperous Nigeria.
APC! PROGRESS!
APC! RENEWED HOPE!
APC! A STRONGER DELTA!
Together, we will build a stronger Delta and a greater Nigeria. The journey continues!
