Senate Confirms Najomo as Substantive NCAA D.G

Pan Afric, NASS Abuja|The senate committee on aviation, on Wednesday, screened and cleared Capt Chris Najomo for confirmation as the substantive Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCCA).

The lawmakers in parliamentary tone at the end of the screening exercise asked Najomo to take a bow and leave, affirms the presentation of his name during  plenary for final confirmation.

His nomination Najomo as Director General received the endorsement of the Senate Committee’s members present at the screening.

Before now, there were lots of expectations in the nation’s aviation industry, as President Bola Tinubu had two weeks ago, asked the Senate to confirm the appointment of Captain Chris Najomo as the substantive Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) .

Tinubu had earlier approved Najomo’s nomination following a recommendation by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN.

Najomo has been in an acting capacity as NCAA DG since his appointment on December 13, 2023, following the suspension of Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu.

 

To further substantiate the acceptance of Capt. Chris Najomo as Director General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), group applauds president Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his choice to head the agency.

 

With Najomo as a substantive Director General of NCAA, the agency stands to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘s Renewed Hope in the aviation industry.
