

Ikere Deserves a Vocational and Technical Fed. Institution – Sen. Ningi

Dst. Sen. Ahmed Abdul Ningi, Chairman, Senate Committee on Sport (Bauchi Central, PDP) has called for the support and subsequent approval of the Bill by Senate for the establishment of the Federal College of Vocational and Technical Studies Ikere, Osun State.
Ningi in his contributory debate to the Bill for an Act to establish the Federal College of Vocational and Technical Studies Ikere, Osun State which aimed at providing full time course in technical, vocational and applied science and carry out research, innovation, development and adaptation of teaching techniques and for other related matters sponsors by Sen. Oyewumi, Kamorudeen Olalere ( Osun West) argued that the bill when assented to will bridge the gap between the semi and professional skil.
Sen. Ningi in his contributory debate on the Bill during today (Wednesday) plenary argued that the propose college as a post secondary education will open up opportunity for Nigerians to learn technical and vocational skill.
Appreciating the Bill, Ningi said the world is tech driven and will fill the gab between semi and professional skill; adding that the bill will further the seamless transition to tech development.
