

Ogbadibo’s 3O Communities Pledges Support to Engr. Sunny Oche and Benue State Government
The people of Owukpa, Orokram, and Otukpa (3O) communities in Ado Local Government Area, Benue State recently paid a visit to the Local Government Chairman, Engr. Sunny Oche, to express their unwavering support for his leadership and the administration of Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia (P.hD).
The delegation, led by Chief John Eye and with Chief Tony Alu as spokesperson, congratulated Engr. Oche on his victory in the October 5, 2024, local government elections; others in the delegation included Mr. Sunday Ochekawo (Secretary of the Otukpa Community), Mrs. Gloria Unah, Mr. Lazarus Onoja (Alasaka), Mr. Joseph Onyike (Ada Otoh), Mrs. Mary Ameh and Mrs. Aladi Ogbole.
They commended Governor Alia’s leadership style, particularly its positive impact on rural communities, and pledged their full support to both leaders. They highlighted their century-long presence in the Utonkon District of the council areas, emphasizing their commitment to peaceful coexistence and collaboration with their host community.
Chief Alu emphasized the visit’s aim to establish a strong political partnership with Engr. Oche and present the 3Os as a unified political force within the Local Government Area. He clarified that this collaboration is not intended to oppose the broader Idoma community but rather to create a synergistic relationship, fostering a united front for the benefit of the three Ogbadibo communities. The 3Os affirmed their commitment to supporting the APC and actively participating as responsible citizens.
Engr. Sunny Oche welcomed the 3Os’ initiative, expressing his delight at their decision to actively participate in the political landscape. He emphasized the importance of unity and encouraged the group to work collaboratively with the Idoma General. He further urged the Idoma women to form a cooperative society to access government loans and support, and encouraged the youth to pursue skill acquisition and entrepreneurship. Engr. Oche also fondly recalled the support received from Ogbadibo during his House of Representatives campaign, promising to maintain a strong and positive relationship with the community.
