

Senate Passed Onueke Polytechnic of Vocational And ICT Into Law

The Senate has passed the Federal Polytechnic of Vocational and Information and Communication Technology, Onueke in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State into law.
This was contained in a press statement issued on Tuesday in Abakaliki and signed by Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Kizito Nwankwo to the Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Engr Kenneth Emeka Eze.
According to the press statement, Senator Engineer Kenneth Emeka Eze has recorded a ground breaking Legislative giant strides in the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The statement reads: “The Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation Sen Engr Kenneth Emeka Eze FNSE FNATE FCAI has recorded a groundbreaking Legislative giant stride, as the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria passed into law his Bill for an Act to Establish Federal Polytechnic of Vocational and ICT Onueke.
“The Bill which enjoyed the overwhelming support of the Senators and civil society groups is a dream come true not just for Sen Eze and the people of Ebonyi Central, but for the entire people of Ebonyi state. The institution will be situated at Onueke Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.
He said the lawmaker expressed delight over the passage of the law, “Sen Eze said that the Bill is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the human capital development of the people of Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, maintaining that the institution would play a significant role in arming the youths of Ebonyi Central and Ebonyi state, with relevant technical and vocational skills needed to thrive in the 21st century technology driven labour markets.
The statement further urged the youths of Ebonyi Central Senatorial District to get prepared to take full advantage of the institution to develop their talents, not only to be self employable but also to become employers of labour.
According to Kizito Nwankwo, Senator Engineer Kenneth Emeka Eze also thanked his colleagues, the Senators of the 10th Senate for their overwhelming support to the Bill, and the people of Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, especially those who came to the National Assembly during the public hearing to show their solidarity and support.
