A non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization, the Dr. Divine Igwe Impact Foundation, has been inaugurated in Ebonyi State with the aim of transforming lives and fortifying communities through enhanced healthcare access, educational support, and economic empowerment.
The formal unveiling of the Foundation transpired on Thursday at Nwode Primary School, Umuoghara, Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
In his address, the Founder, Dr. Divine Okemefuna Igwe, articulated his vision to cultivate a society where every individual, irrespective of their background, can attain quality healthcare, education, and opportunities for personal growth.
He expressed, “It is a profound honor and privilege to stand before you on this momentous occasion as we officially launch the Dr. Divine Igwe Impact Foundation, an initiative conceived from compassion, vision, and an unwavering commitment to humanity.
“Today, we convene not merely to inaugurate an organization but to ignite a movement for sustainable change, empowerment, and hope. A movement that aspires to transform lives and strengthen communities throughout Ebonyi State and beyond,”he stated.
The facilitator, Dr. Divine Igwe, further disclosed that the Foundation would implement agricultural interventions, advocate for equity and inclusion, and promote sustainable development.
Dr. Igwe elaborated that the Foundation had already facilitated basic educational empowerment for 18 students, covered housing expenses amounting to millions of naira for indigent families, enrolled over 5,000 children into the state health insurance scheme, and registered 1,000 pregnant women to ensure maternal and newborn care, among other notable achievements.
He revealed that the next phase of the Foundation would extend educational support to 13 citizens of Ezza North, with a total investment of ₦3,250,000 aimed at enhancing access to learning and future opportunities.
Igwe indicated that in the realm of youth and sports development, a football tournament would be organized across the 11 wards of Ezza North Local Government Area, with an investment exceeding ₦5,000,000 to foster unity, talent development, and youth engagement.
The Founder, Dr. Divine Okemefuna Igwe, appealed for collaboration and partnership to ensure the sustainability of the Foundation.
He remarked, “Ladies and gentlemen, no foundation, regardless of its fervor, can achieve its mission in isolation. Sustainable impact necessitates collaboration. It requires the collective efforts of governmental institutions, private organizations, international partners, community leaders, and individuals with a heart for service,”he implored.
Earlier, the Chairman of the unveiling ceremony, Hon. Oguzor Offia Nwali, Ebonyi State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, acknowledged and commended the exceptional endeavors of Dr. Divine Igwe and called for support from public-spirited individuals.
