DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONAL: DECEMBER 9nPRAISE UPROOTS PROBLEMS FROM THE FOUNDATIONS Scripture reading: Acts 16: 25 – 26.

The beloved, let us continue our devotional from yesterday’s devotional with the focus on how genuine praise from a pure heart destroys problems from the foundations. Everything that happens starts from somewhere._ *The starting point of anything is its foundation. Whatever happens to us, physical or spiritual has a foundation, that is, it’s starting point. The quickest way to kill a tree is to uproot it from the ground upon which it stands.* When a foundation of a house is removed, the entire house falls into pieces. *No wonder the Bible says “if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psa. 11: 3).*

The story of Paul and Silas with Divine intervention at the prison in Jerusalem as read did not stop at the chains cut off from their hands and legs, and the forceful opening of the doors as they were singing and praising God. The Bible says: “…the foundations of the prison were shaken…” (Acts 16: 26 KJV). *Through the singing and praising of Paul and Silas to God, the power of God first hit the foundations of the building holding the prison through earthquake. Destructions beyond repairs were established, all the fastened doors were shattered and chains of every prisoner loosed from their hands and legs.* God’s powers through praise as at that time are still the same today and will be forever more.

*The beloved, what are you passing through all these days? What are the perennial problems you and your families are all going through? How have you been subjected to forces unknown to you?* Are you tempted to believe that your enemies have finally got you and sentenced you to life imprisonment while living on the planet earth? *Yes, prayers have proved useless. Today, will you begin to sing and praising God the Almighty? God will shake off the foundations of the shrines of your evil attackers, those of homes and offices of your oppressors as well and the covens of spiritual forces tormenting you.*

Today, praise will trouble your troubles, remove evil foundations upon which buildings of evil altars have been raised against you. *Engage yourself in genuine praise directed to God. Praise Him and dance graciously before Him. As you do this, God will be moved on His throne. He will stand up to sing with you and rejoice with you (Zephaniah 3: 14 – 20). As God moves in heaven, all foundations confronting you will be destroyed.* Spiritual bombs are being released now, heading towards the camps of your enemies. God is attending to your problems today. Sing and be glad for your Salvation (deliverance from evil forces) has started. Amen and Amen.

FATHER, pour upon my heart, the zeal to praise you, especially when I am surrounded by problems in the name of Jesus Christ.
