“And that is why we spent a huge amount of funds to procure a lot of security equipment, which we will not mention here, but we will say one or two with these vehicles.
“We have drones, we have other security equipment that can dictate where you are, who can give us information of what you are doing with your gadgets.
“These are the main source of our own way of combating security. And I give thanks to the professionals who have displayed a lot of integrity in handling most of this equipment today.
“And I have that confidence that this vehicle will be handled the way most of the equipment given to the security agencies are being handled, that up to today they are very much effective, very, very effective, and we have not recorded misfortune today”, he said.
The governor further explained that his administration has recorded tremendous infrastructural development, especially in the rural areas ,thereby reducing rural-urban migration.
“The essence of having a government is to provide the environment. This has been in place, we’ve been doing that, and we have confidence that our rural areas are witnessing a lot of tremendous infrastructural development, and that is the essence of government.
“If you move out from the town, there are some places you get to, it looks like the town too, that will reduce the traffic of coming to live in Abakaliki. We’ve done that in Iboko, Afikpo, even in Uburu”, he stated.
