KARMA: Kure Responds to El-Rufai

“Your Excellency, during your inglorious days as the Governor of Kaduna State, we experienced darker politics compared to what you are complaining about today.

While Bashir Saidu, your golden boy who is facing trials for theft, has spent barely 34 days in detention, there are people you held captive for over 6 months for exercising their freedom of expression.

Find the number of days your junta gagged some citizens:

1) Luka Biniyat: 185 days

2) Steven Kefason: 162 days

3) Dr. John Danfulani: 22 days and was also sacked from KASU.

4) Nine (9) Adara Elders: 103 days. They are as follows:
Engr Bawa Magaji Kufana,

Elder Awemu Dio Maisamari,

CP Sani Magaji rtd,

Elder Joseph Abdallah,

Elder Joseph Ayuba,

Elder Ulu Maitumbi,

Elder Tanko Maisamari,

Elder Hosea Danladi,

Elder Tanko Wada.

5) Bashir Hamadada, an associate of Senator Shehu Sani, was abducted by suspected military men, where he spent days in their detention facility. He was allegedly tortured too.

6) Dadiyata disappeared in a suspicious manner under your watch. Till date, his whereabout is not known.

7) Galadiman Ruwan Zazzau was detained for several days for exposing the plans of your government to attack labor leaders after they were sacked.

The lives of your people in detention are no more precious than those of the people I mentioned above. You attributed their predicament to judicial processes; yours are going through the same. They should wait for the verification process to resume; you can’t blackmail the government into violating protocol and endorsing the documents your men presented.
