In his sermon, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ogoni, T.S.D Kagbara reflected on the fleeting nature of life and the importance of spiritual devotion.

“This place we are is not our everlasting home. In heaven, there is no more hunger, no more death, no more darkness… all things will pass away but those who do the will of God will live everlasting life,” he said.

The atmosphere at the ceremony was described as solemn and reflective, as speakers paid tribute to Mpigi’s record as a dedicated lawmaker and bridge-builder who contributed significantly to infrastructure development in Nigeria.

Dignitaries present at the event noted that his life of service and commitment to national unity would continue to inspire future generations.
