NORTHERN YOUTH ORGANISATION HONOURS MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS SPOKESPERSON FOR EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND NATIONAL UNITY ADVOCACY

The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, has been honoured with a prestigious award by the Northern Youth Organisation of Nigeria (NYON) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to national development, youth empowerment, and public communication.

The award, according to the a media report make available to Pan Afric Reporters was presented during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Organisation to the Ministry in Abuja, on Friday 17 April, 2026 celebrates Mr. Ebienfa’s role as a distinguished public communicator and a strong advocate for unity, inclusiveness, and youth engagement across Nigeria. The Organisation noted that his recognition followed a rigorous nomination process in which he was listed among eminent Nigerians who have demonstrated exceptional service to the nation.

In his remarks, Mr. Isah Ododo, the President of the Organisation commended Mr. Ebienfa for his commitment to bridging ethnic and religious divides, as well as his dedication to promoting transparency and effective communication in public service. He described the Ministry’s image maker as a role model for young Nigerians and a symbol of integrity and professionalism in government.

The Organisation which draws membership from the 19 Northern States also reiterated its commitment to addressing national challenges such as insecurity, drug abuse, and inadequate educational investment through sustained advocacy and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including government institutions.

In his response, Mr. Ebienfa expressed deep appreciation for the honour, describing it as a significant encouragement to continue serving the nation diligently. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to harnessing the potential of Nigeria’s youth population in line with the country’s foreign policy priorities and broader development objectives.

Mr. Ebienfa reaffirmed his commitment to dedicating his service to fostering partnerships that promote national unity, youth development, and effective public engagement.
