The word ‘fear’ on a negative usage has contributed to so many reasons human beings do not make progress in life. We fear to sleep alone, we fear to jump on business, we fear to marriage when cash is unavailable. We fear to speak truths as well as take up responsibilities when we wronged the society. At every side and in all situations, most human beings go with fear. This devotional harps on a topic “Dealing With Storm of Fear” due to how fear confronts humanity at every aspect of life consistently. There is no where we turn to that a kind of storm of fear never surfaced. For instance, we have storms of marriage, storms of death, storms of sicknesses and diseases, storms of fear and so on. The evil forces know glaringly that fear stands as main force they can rule the minds and hearts of human beings. As Christians, we must learn how to deal with storm of fear. Fear as constant as change will ever be present. We are not to be stopped by fear. We must see how to walk through fear and walk out of it!

Before showing to deal with fear, it is important to touch few areas we allow fear to overcome us. When we feel lonely and insecure, fear can easily overcome us. We can feel lonely and insecure even in the midst of friends and relatives. This happens when you begin to fear marriage may not come to you, employment might not be given, the pregnancy may take your life etc. Fear can gain power over us when we allow the torment of our future blinds our minds and hearts from Divine Provisions God blessed the world with. This kind of fear emanates from fear of losing your job, fear of losing your husband or wife, fear of business collapsing, fear of dying leaving your children and properties etc. behind.

In our 21st Century, the greater population of human beings globally are uncertain of the world lying ahead of them. This can be termed fear of the unknown. When we allow the fear of the unknown to overcome us, the probability of losing our bearing to make things work through the storm of fear into our glorious tomorrow will be a near zero. The storm of fear from few points raised above are reason discouragement, despondency, inactive zeal to push forward and other related negative responses cause us defeats in life. We as human beings are meant to go through our fear of today, and pass through the fear, then hit accomplishment tomorrow. Bible teachers have told the world that there are 365 “fears” in the Bible and 365 places of “fear not” or its related phrases in the Bible. This means that for every fear Satan brought to your heart each day, you have “fear not” for it. The beloved, you have great opportunity to defeat every fear that sneaked into your heart each day.

PRAYER:

LORD JESUS, you were bold and fearless all though your earthly life time on the earth. I have accepted you as my LORD and SAVIOUR all these years. Give courage me and boldness to deal with my storm of fear. Amen.
