DAILY HOPE DEVOTIONALS: DECEMBER 30 MAN IS SPECIALLY CREATED (1) SCRIPTURE: PSALM 8: 4 – 8; 139: 13 – 14
Taking deep study of existence of things in the world; living and none living things reflects amazing and mystical constructions, compositions and creativities. Living things separately studied has shown how human beings are mystically wired naturally by God. The studies on human beings have shown that God mysteriously, artistically and wonderfully created all humans. Information discovered of what human beings contained by scientists, physiologists, anatomists and others in different research sectors revealed fearful and incredible things beyond human understanding. With the information, every human being supposed to be worshipping his/her creator without being talked into doing so. Besides, we human beings supposed to be very grateful and thankful to God at all times.
Today’s devotional decides on bringing up very few things, in skeletal presentations, of what some parts of human bodies are made of that made King David admitted he was fearfully and wonderfully made (Psa. 139: 14). This discussion included an observation made by an unnamed observer on human being who said: “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him?” (Psa. 8: 4 NKJV). As human beings, it is expected of us to think like King David here, by seeing ourselves fearfully and wonderfully created and make up our minds to be praising God every day. We should be observant enough too, to see ourselves and acclaim “God who am I that you spent extra time and thoughts to create so privileged.
Admittedly, we Christians mostly remain unthankful to God because we hardly give deeper thoughts to how wonderfully and fearfully God created us. How many Christians know that God put our fears into the mind of all He created? Is it not wonderful that our palms and the soles of our feet never wear out as long as we live? As big as elephants are, they run from our presence. As fierce as carnivorous animals such as lions, leopards, hyenas etc. are, when they sight us they take to their heels. Simple ways we are wonderfully created is that all human beings globally have same physical and anatomical features. All humans have two legs, two hands, five fingers and five toes. Beside, we all have one nose, two ears, two lips (upper and lower) and same colour of blood (red) in our blood vessels. This makes about 99% human beings globally look alike! We are, of course, very and specially created. Praise God!
PRAYER:
Thank you Father GOD for been so thoughtful of me by creating me spectacularly special from all your creatures. Grant me the grace to be thankful to you every day of my life in the name of Jesus Christ.
