PCRC, NSCDC Strengthen Ties with Operation HADIN KAI to Bolster Security in North-East

In a renewed push to tackle insecurity in the North-East, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have pledged stronger collaboration with the Theatre Command, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK).

This ties strengthening according to a press release e-signed by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI was an outcome of two separate visits by the chairman PCRC Borno State Chapter, Ambassador Abatcha Umar Nanabe and the newly appointed NSCDC Borno State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama.

The PCRC Borno State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Ambassador Abatcha Umar Nanabe, visited the OPHK Headquarters to discuss future partnerships in security operations while commending OPHK for honouring the PCRC’s invitation to its maiden Borno State Security Training Workshop at the University of Maiduguri, describing the gesture as a catalyst for deeper synergy between security agencies and the public.
He also used the occasion to condole with the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, over the death of Colonel Bello Umaru, late Commander of the 7 Military Intelligence Brigade. Nanabe reaffirmed PCRC’s readiness to partner with the Joint Task Force in future civil-military cooperation initiatives.
Major General Abubakar in his response assured the delegation of OPHK’s commitment to sustaining security partnerships, particularly in civil-military cooperation efforts.
Earlier, the newly appointed NSCDC Borno State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, also paid a courtesy visit to the Theatre Command. He called for stronger collaboration, recalling the vital role the Armed Forces have played in training NSCDC personnel and in joint operations to protect critical national assets.
Major General Abubakar lauded the NSCDC’s frontline contributions and pledged continued synergy, noting that OPHK’s successes stem from its multi-agency composition.
The visits featured the exchange of souvenirs and group photographs, further symbolising the strengthened partnership.
