Emporium Reporters Marks 10th Anniversary with Leadership Lecture, Awards to Honour Distinguished Nigerians

Prominent media personalities, top government officials, policymakers, and corporate leaders are expected to converge in Abuja on June 25, 2026, as Royalprince Media Services hosts the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026, an event designed to celebrate outstanding leadership, institutional excellence, and contributions to national development.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by Royalprince Media Services and signed by its Publisher/Chief Executive Officer, Lukman Laleye Babalola, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters.

According to the organisers, the event will feature a high-level discourse on the theme, “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy,” focusing on the growing responsibility of digital media in promoting credible information, accountability, responsible journalism, and democratic development.

The organisers disclosed that the lecture will be chaired by Sunday Akinlabi Dare, while renowned publisher Abdullahi O. Haruna will deliver the keynote address.

A number of high-profile personalities are expected at the event, including Godswill Obot Akpabio as Special Guest of Honour, alongside Mohammed Idris, Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, Tony Ojukwu, and Lanre Issa-Onilu.

As part of activities marking the anniversary celebration, the organisers will honour several distinguished Nigerians and institutions for exceptional service, leadership, and impact in their respective fields.

Among the award recipients are John Attah Onoja, Abdur-Rahman Adekunle Balogun, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi and Grace Ike.

Other honourees include Fame Foundation, Wisdom Enang, Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, Innocent Odey, Ambrose Omordion and Jibrin Baba Ndace.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Babalola said the initiative reflects the organisation’s enduring commitment to credible journalism, responsible leadership and national development.

“The 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters is a milestone that celebrates a decade of impactful reporting, public engagement and dedication to informing society,” he said.

He added that the event would also witness the unveiling of a Special 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition of Emporium Magazine, highlighting the achievements of notable personalities and institutions that have made meaningful contributions across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.

According to the organisers, the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 is expected to attract a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including government officials, media executives, business leaders and development partners committed to advancing credible communication and strengthening democratic values in Nigeria.

Babalola expressed optimism that the event would provide a platform for meaningful conversations on the future of digital media and governance while celebrating individuals and organisations driving positive change across the country.
