29TH JUNE 2024 IS FOR ABBA ADAUDU
Saturday 29th June, 2024, the Idoma Traditional Council under the leadership of His Royal Majesty, Agaba-Idu, Elaigwu John Odugbo, will confer a Chieftaincy title on Mr Abba Adaudu and other Distinguished personalities of Benue state origin and Nigeria at large in his Otukpo Palace.
Mr. Abba Adaudu is a distinguished professional in the fields of economics and accounting, who has contributed a great deal to the development of many communities, individuals and organisations.
Abba holds both a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Economics from Benue State University. He is an alumnus of Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo and The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, where he graduated with a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in accounting, securing the title of the best accounting graduate in 2000 and 2003, respectively.
Furthering his expertise, Mr. Adaudu attended the Nigerian College of Accountancy in Jos, achieving the highest professional accolade as a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). His professional development includes extensive training in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
As the Managing Director and Chief Executive of several notable entities, including Abba Adaudu & Co., Keyless Nature Limited, and Fast Mita Nig, Mr. Adaudu provides consultancy services in accounting, auditing, taxation, and human resources management to numerous state and federal entities, as well as private companies across Nigeria. He also plays a pivotal role in education as the Chairman of the School Based Management Committee of the Federal Government College, Otobi, and runs a community-based scholarship programme for underprivileged students.
A talented and highly numeric individual with excellent analytical skills, Mr. Adaudu is also a devoted farmer. His philanthropic efforts have been variously recognised, including recently when he was honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Department of Economics at Benue State University, Makurdi.
During the award ceremony, Mr. Adaudu announced a decade-long scholarship for the two best-graduating students in the Department of Economics and contributed significantly to the establishment of the proposed Econometrics Laboratory.
Mr. Adaudu’s commitment to education extends to sponsoring intake of 30 students annually at the Akpa Community Secondary, Allan in Akweya land, Otukpo LGA, a project in its 4th year, demonstrating his passion for fostering educational development.
He has also built classroom blocks for the school, as well as donated desks and chairs to a number of schools, and renovated the Ogiri Oko male hostel block at the Federal Government College, Otobi and established a 10-year scholarship award for indigent students.
Mr Adaudu has done medical outreaches for Otobi and Allan Wards in conjunction with Akweya medical doctors and funded the provision of medicines for these outreaches following the medical consultations.
Abba is married with children and continues to be a significant influence in his various communities and profession.
The aforementioned no doubt must have informed his selection among many other illustrious Nigerians for the conferment of Chieftaincy title by the highest traditional ruling counci in Idoma land.
