…Ogiji Igavu pledges loyalty to Governor Alia and Omale-led Caretaker

Hon. Ogiji Igavu, All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Royongo Ward in Ado Local Government Area (LGA), Benue State, has officially joined the mainstream APC, pledging his unwavering support for Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and his deputy, Barr. Sam Ode. This follows the dissolution of the former Benue State APC Working Committee led by Hon. Austin Agada by the party’s National Working Committee.

Igavu’s realignment, facilitated by Hon. Innocent Agasi and witnessed by numerous Royongo ward party members including Chief Vincent Ejeh Uloko, Hon. Innocent Eka, Quivina Uloko, and Raph Ilof, marks a significant shift in the LGA’s political landscape. The move further strengthens the support base of Ado LGA Chairman, Engr. Sunny Oche, who has been instrumental in consolidating support for Governor Alia within the LGA.

Igavu emphasized the importance of party unity, stating, “There are no permanent enemies in politics; only permanent interests.” He also congratulated Engr. Oche on his electoral victory and pledged his full commitment to advancing the party’s agenda under the leadership of Chief Benjamin Omale, the Caretaker Chairman.

Party leaders and members welcomed Igavu’s return, expressing their support for his future endeavors. Engr. Oche commended Igavu’s decision, underscoring the importance of unity and collaboration within the APC. He also praised the Royongo APC ward for their commitment to the realignment.
