…Admonishes Christians to emulate the Selfless Life of Jesus

The Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on National Inland Waterways, Chief. Hon. Pst Ojotu Ojema FESMI, has admonished Christians to emulate and live a Selfless Life like that of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pst Ojema according to a press statement e-sign by his Media Aide, Ekani Olikita gave this admonition on Friday, April 18, 2025 while interacting with Apa and Agatu Ministers of God at Kingdom Gospel Church International Ugbokpo and Baptist Church Nigeria Obagaji respectively.

In his separate but similar speeches to the great Men and Women of God, Ojema said, the aim of the interaction was to appreciate them for their ceaseless support, prayers for him and to celebrate Easter with them.

“This is where I belong, I can never abandon you”

“My emergence as Apa/Agatu Reps Member is symbolic to Christiandom. It has clearly demonstrated that there is nothing impossible with God. It has also demonstrated the Capacity to obey God and follow his call. In addition, it is a reflection of a workable/ actionable faith.

“The Good Friday we are witnessing today is a reflection of a life of Selflessness demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ who sacrificed his live for us to be saved. I admonish Christians to emulate the Selfless Life of Jesus for others to benefit from opportunities they can not afford. Nigeria is not growing fast like other countries because greed and self-centered mentalities have taken better of us such that, we tend to value ourselves more than our country. Until we jettison such selfishness, our society won’t grow”.

“We must also apply the education we acquired to solve our problems. Knowledge without its application is foolishness. Wisdom is an applied knowledge, your knowledge must be useful otherwise, you will remain a fool forever.”

“As Ministers of God, we must be in the forefront in this challenging time, bedevilled by unprecedented rise in Insecurity. You must not remain quiet. I can remember when I was not even occupying any political position at the early period of insecurity in Agatu, we formed the Agatu Prayer Network for Peace and Unity. We declared fasting and prayers and it helped tremendously. If Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Apa and Agatu can come out and Condemn the insecurity in the Federal Constituency, it can play a very vital role in the restoration of Security in Apa and Agatu LGAs”

“I am happy for the fact that, I have never been found wanting as no rumour or report of alcoholism, infidelity, disrespect or any other inimical character has been alleged against me since my emergence as the Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency”

“I have spent less than two years in office and my achievements are everywhere to see and verify. I have constructed two asphalted roads, graded two roads, construction of NIWA Jetty Terminal at Ocholonya is still ongoing, I have constructed and equipped 6-Classroom block at Methodist High School Obagaji, Solar Integrated Street Lights are being installed in every community in Apa/Agatu, boreholes are being drilled, I have empowered several of our constituents with tricycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, generators, Hair Dryers, clippers, gave scholarship allowance of N50,000 each to 686 Apa/Agatu students studying in Tertiary institutions, paid Tuition Fees of 3 Best students in each class from JSS 1 to SS 2 in all the Secondary Schools in the Federal Constituency. These are just 30% of my achievements yet to come.

“Let’s continue to be united. I will continue to identify with you. Once again, I wish you happy Easter Celebration”, Ojema Concluded

“When you came to me, telling me that you have resigned from your Commissioner seat to contest for Reps eat, I was shocked but you said your action was to answer God’s Call and I prayed for you and gave you my Royal blessings. The same way, you will go back for another term when the time comes”, OcheG’Adogoji said.
